Virginia “Kate” Moncla was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, and graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic High School in 2020. She currently attends Louisiana State University as a Press Relations major with a minor in history. Kate is a hardworking and creative person presently looking for a job in marketing or PR. Kate began in social media marketing and brand identity while working as a social media coordinator for Little Town Boutique from 2016 to 2020. From 2021 to 2022, Kate served as the social media liaison for the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association (LOGA). There, she worked in corporate communications and public relations, compiling and distributing all media, including the weekly drilling report. From September to December 2022, Kate worked as a social media intern for Weiler Plastic Surgery, gaining hands-on experience in media outreach and content development. Since 2023, Kate has been working as a Nanny for multiple Baton Rouge families, which has taught her patience and responsibility. Kate is proficient in Canva, InDesign, Adobe Suites, Excel, and PowerPoint. She continuously builds upon prior knowledge and learns new skills, such as commercial photography and editing. She is an active member of the Alliance for Women in Media, PRSSA, the Cheetah Conservation Fund and multiple LSU clubs and volunteer organizations.
